Thats the IFR probe(in flight refueling)........ F8F 8 were one of the first Naval aircraft to use this system(mid 50's)

Now, our F-9f8 include cockpit without pilot. [pilot is option]

IIRC it was the first Navy carrier qualified plane to break the speed of sound (in a dive)
They held the transcon (SD to DC??) record for awhile, they had a refueling along the way. They took the record from USAF F-86s that went the whole way unrefueled.
Nice plane. Can I get the model unpainted (primer or all white)?
